Welcome to the West Florida Canoe and Kayak Club!

We have a website which includes pictures, how the club is organized, links to area paddle clubs, and other information.

CLUB WEBSITE: http://www.wfckc.com

You should read the club bylaws to know how the club is organized. We are all volunteers and welcome help.
You will be sent a separate email from Yahoo Groups with an invitation to join the WFCKC Yahoo Group, which is the MAIN communication center for club activities. (If you do not receive the invitation, first check your spam folder. Then reply and let me know.) By joining you will be able to send and receive messages to individuals or the entire club as well as upload pictures you have taken on trips. The instructions at the group site say, "Invited users need to accept the invitation, and sign-in with their Yahoo ID to become members. If you don't ALREADY have a Yahoo ID then BEFORE you accept the invitation, go to Yahoo.com and make an account. You should find the link to set one up somewhere near the top of the Yahoo.com page.

The club membership roster, and upcoming trips are emailed to club members who are part of this “Group”. Back copies of newsletters, trip pictures, and other documents are available on this site. Note that the membership roster should be kept confidential. Most members don't want this data distributed outside the club.

Attached is a roster of club members, and also some useful paddling information. Please check the roster to see if your information is added correctly.

If you have any questions please direct them to members of our staff who should be able to help you. Be sure to accept the invitation to join the WFCKC Yahoo Group.

See you at the meeting and on the river!

Dottie Doherty
Membership Chairperson

Trip photos will get posted here.

See your special photos here.  Send 10-20 photos per trip to have them included here.  Send to John Veasey (webmaster).

Lookout Mountain - Little River Canyon
and the cabin on a ridge in Mentone, Alabama; where our club members are treated to FREE LODGING and guiding
on the Little River.  Courteously of Bill & Rebecca Adams.

The following photos were taken during the stay of Diane RB and John V.   What a wonderful place to regain inter-peace beyond your wildest dreams.  Those that missed this trip, at this time and water levels...you must make this trip to understand how beauty, hospitality and natural living could be enjoyed.  Yes, off-grid living, some garden vegatibles, extremely clean water, and healthy air to breathe.  Ah.......just the memories coming back can be so peaceful.  Whenever Bill & Rebecca says the water level is pretty good, just pack up and drive there, get directions first and enjoy.

We needed to provide our food and bath towel.  Other items to consider; spices, oils and maybe a pot or 2 you like to cook with.  If you want more suggestions, please contact either Diane or John for additional comments.

More pictures when I can find the sunrise/sunsets.
